Hello Chris,
Thanks for your response.How do I get a contact info for local MLS, when you
say local MLS is it based on country or state?, pardon my ignorance.

the first thing is to contact the MLS and see what data format they
support for listing transfer. If they support RETS, then you move
with the RETS path - if not, you will need to play along with them
next is to understand the data returned from the MLS
