[Rets-dev] help with search query

RETS is not a protocol. It is defined as using the HTTP protocol so as long
as the client is able to respond to the header requests (client
authentication) there is no reason the web browser could not be used. There
are a number of RETS servers that do not need a special RETS Client because
they do not implement the special headers.

Of coarse this is changing with 2.0 but in that case you need a SOAP client
not necessarily a RETS Client.

Vlado - one quick question for clarity:

when you say you are searching via browser - do you mean using a RETS
client (http://rets.org/client)? Or do you mean IE or FireFox?

If you mean IE or FireFox, then the issue is, that RETS is not a web
browser protocol - and you need a RETS client
