I, too, had hoped for a remote alternative to these sessions initially, but --
now that I've attended both -- I have to agree with Paul that the dynamics of
the room wouldn't work very well with deference to conference call participants.
We've jumped between schemas onscreen, had tangential discussions that
themselves last a half-hour or more, and occasionally tackled topics with small
stakeholder groups while the forum just contemplated the effects of any
decisions.
All in all, it's definitely not like a typical RETS meeting and worth attending,
even if only to voice how your systems handle some situations.
As an example, it'd be great to hear how you folks handle agent teams (if at
all). I, personally, still don't think we have that aspect entirely hammered
out (it's a bit of a kludge) and would appreciate any insight you could offer.
