[Rets-dev] New Project Idea

Hi Jessica,

For your purposes, there is a C# example in the libRETS source (under the
swig/csharp directory). Also, for what it’s worth, I’m currently working on an
ADO.NET RETS Provider that should be in beta by National.

Thank God someone brought this up. This is exactly what I’ve been struggling to
do for a week: just get a simple download of listing data and photos to be
inserted into our own SQL Server db (so we don’t have to rewrite the realtor
association’s website) and write the photos to the website photo directory.

We’re working with 1.5. I’m using C# to create a console app (which can be
scheduled to run whenever we decide be it daily or hourly) with the libRETS
referenced. I haven’t found any code examples of this so far. It would be
nice to have an example of how to use RETS for just pulling down listing data
and photos, or have a program like what Troy is talking about. Something which
can easily be implemented by programmers not familiar with RETS, since it is
tough to find good documentation for this.
