Just for a point of clarification.  CRT itself didn't do anything.  The RETS
committee did, of which CRT has been an active member for the past 4.5
years.  (CRT has only been around for 4.5 years.)  RETS predates CRT by 4
years (or more?)

I don't want CRT to take credit for the great work the RETS committee has
done, especially the engineering work before we were involved.

Out of curiosity, is there a reason that the native .NET implementation
would be preferred over the libRETS bindings?  (This is more so we can
improve libRETS vs. being anti-.NET.)
